Data Deletion

Kollabr is operated by Kollabr Technologies (“we”, “us”). You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

This page applies to everyone on Kollabr: creators, and users and local businesses (who share the same User account). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

You can choose how much to delete:

• Just your Instagram data — disconnect Instagram and keep your Kollabr account (Options 1 and 2).
• Everything — close your account and delete all your personal data (Option 3).

We only access Instagram data with your permission, through Instagram's official login. We never see or store your Instagram password.

Creators can unlink Instagram at any time without closing their Kollabr account:

1. Log in to Kollabr.
2. Open Instagram Analytics.
3. Tap Disconnect and confirm.

What happens next:

• Your Instagram access token is deleted immediately, so we can no longer read anything from your Instagram account.
• Your Instagram photo, stats, Reels and posts are removed from your public page immediately.
• All Instagram data we synced is deleted from our servers within 30 days.
• Your Kollabr account, prices and collaborations stay. You can reconnect Instagram later if you want.

You can also revoke our access from inside Instagram, even if you can't log in to Kollabr:

1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
2. Tap the menu (☰) and open Settings and activity.
3. Tap Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
4. Under Active, find Kollabr and tap Remove.

Instagram then stops sharing data with us. We treat this exactly like Option 1: your Instagram data is removed from your public page and deleted from our servers within 30 days. If you also want your whole Kollabr account deleted, follow Option 3.

To close your account and delete all your personal data, including any Instagram data:

1. Email support@kollabr.in from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my Kollabr account”. You can also use the Contact page.
2. Include your registered email, your Kollabr username (if you have one) and whether you are a creator or a user / local business.
3. We acknowledge your request within 72 hours and may ask you to confirm it from your registered email or phone, so nobody else can delete your account.
4. We delete your account and personal data within 30 days of verifying the request, and email you a confirmation with a reference number.

Once deleted:

• You can no longer log in, and your public page and link stop working.
• Your profile no longer appears in search or to other members.
• In other members' past collaborations and chats, your name and photo are replaced with “Deleted user”, so their own records still make sense without identifying you.
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You are welcome to sign up again later with a new account.

Encrypted backups can't be edited one record at a time, so deleted data may remain in them until they are overwritten. Backups are never used to restore your data or for any other purpose in the meantime.

The law requires us to keep a small amount of information even after you delete your account:

• Payment, invoice and tax records for paid collaborations and payouts, for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws (such as the GST rules) require.
• Records of an open dispute, refund, chargeback or suspected fraud, until it is resolved.

This information is stored securely with restricted access, used only for these legal purposes, and deleted as soon as the required period ends.

• Active collaborations: finish or cancel them first. Any unreleased escrow money is handled under our Payment & Refund Policy.
• Creators with pending payouts: approved payouts are sent to you before your account is deleted. If we can't pay out because your bank or UPI details are missing, we will contact you first.
• Want a copy of your data? Ask for it in the same email and we will send it to you before deleting your account.

As well as deletion, you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Restrict or object to how we use your data.
• Move your data to another service (data portability).
• Withdraw consent, for example by disconnecting Instagram.

Send these requests to support@kollabr.in. We respond within 30 days and never charge for them. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the EU or UK) or to the Data Protection Board of India.
